Max is the Founding Partner and Chief Investment Officer of SORBUS Partners. He also chairs the investment committee of the independent VECTOR fund.
His core focus is on both the state of, and the allocation between all asset classes applicable to SORBUS Partners’ clients. His relentless pursuit of transparent investment has enabled SORBUS clients to benefit from market leading low cost market Beta, while also having access to Alpha generation where appropriate.
These skills have enabled him to consistently remove complexity and conflicts of interest embedded in the financial world and deliver sensible long term Investment Management guidance to his clients.
Max is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), for whom he also acts as an External Specialist for their Advanced Wealth Management programme.
Max is co-Founder and lead investor in DivideBuy – the third fastest growing company in the UK in 2019 (Deloitte) – he was Executive Chairman until its recent successful £62m fundraising.
In 2017 Max intervened in IndigoVision plc to replace the board and turn around the company. Within three years profits had increased by more than £5m and the company attracted and concluded a takeover bid from Motorola. During his time as Non-Exec Chairman IndigoVision plc was the best performing stock market listed company in the UK.
Max is a Visiting Teaching Fellow at Aston Business School and has an MBA from Warwick Business School.
