Laurence Forrester

Laurence joined Sorbus as a Partner in May 2022. Having started his financial career in equity trading in 2003, Laurence exhibited a preference for wealth management and, in 2004, began working for Quilter before moving to Cazenove in 2008 where he worked as a Portfolio Director. In 2021 he and his wife embarked on a career break to travel.

Whilst at Cazenove, Laurence was fundamental to the evolution of one of their fastest growing divisions which focused primarily on portfolio management and business development within the intermediated space.

Laurence has a keen interest in global geopolitics, an extensive knowledge of global securities and wealth of experience in the alternatives space which includes hedge and absolute return funds, structured products and ESG investments. Most recently, to aid his reintroduction to financial services and, prior to joining Sorbus, Laurence undertook an Oxford University programme in Fintech.

Laurence is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.
